What exactly are distracting details and why did I name my blog this? Well, I’m glad you asked, I will tell you. I am very easily distracted, even when focused on something I am easily distracted, whether it’s self inflicted or not. As soon as that camera hit my hand it’s like a whole new world opened up, look at everything around me all of the details, all of the things to see. There’s flowers, oh look rust, oh wait a rope, oh look someone left Starbucks cups on a brick wall (it’s happened…true story)…you get the idea. I want to capture all of the details. So, Distracting Details was born. Aaaaaww, isn’t it cute? 🙂
Here’s a perfect example of said distractions. While at the Mizumoto Japanese Garden in Springfield, MO, I spotted a heron, beautiful bird within touching distance. First thought is, snap on a new lens and get to taking pictures of it. It decided to out wit me and fly over to another little island, that didn’t stop me I just walked over to the little island and tip toed ever so quietly across the little bridge and tried getting pictures again….then oh look there’s a pagoda.
Hahaha 😀 Your posts are very interesting and it looks like you named your blog aptly 😉 But your distraction has taken shape beautifully..wonderful picture 🙂
